This is our weekly betting tips to the European and PGA Tours. This guide will include a review of the course that the tournament is to be held on, as well as providing background information on how we feel certain players will do on that particular week.

Over the last eleven years we have managed a great record of having a player placed in the Top 5 on both sides of the Atlantic most weeks. We supply three tips to win, two each-way tips that we think can make the Top 5 money places and an outside tip that we feel - if the player performs to his potential could make the Top 5 and a longer odds tip of a player that we feel could be coming back into form.

We supply links for you to open up a betting account with some of the major bookmakers, no matter what country you live in. These companies offer a range of free bets from £50-200 (in your currency) when you open up an account. The odds on golf betting are very good so we would recommend you always bet each-way.

We would like to emphasise that betting should be for fun and not a way to make a living. We see it as a way of adding excitement to a tournament while you watch and hopefully this guide will help you make an informed choice.

As always good luck and have fun!

With a lot of bookies now moving to 1/5 of the odds for places, we will try to only show bookies who still offer 1/4 of the odds and bring you the best golf betting tips available for players price and place.

While the PGA Tour takes its winter break the Australasia Tour holds two of its biggest events over the next two weeks. First up is the Australian PGA Championship which is now in its 86th year.

Royal Queensland Golf Club will be hosting the event for the second year in succession. Formed by a group of Brisbane golfers in 1920 and designed by Carnegie Clark, three-time Australian Open champion, the holes were laid out on a mangrove swamp at Parker Island on the banks of the Brisbane River.

The Co-sanctioned European and Sunshine Tours stay in Johannesburg this week, but moves north to the Rhenosterspruit Nature Conservatory to one of the longest golf courses on the planet.

Weighing in at a mighty 8,300 yards the Blair Atholl was where Gary Player called home. Player remains passionate about the estate, and the championship course he designed was inspired by his love of Augusta National.

This week sees the Hero World Challenge pitch up in the Bahamas at the Albany Golf Course designed by Ernie Els. The course is situated on 600 acres of oceanfront and opened for play in 2010.

The course is a flattish inland desert links style and features five par 3s and five par 5s with no rough. This means you’re either on the fairway or in the sandy dunes, which has tufts of fescue running between holes. The course is long at 7,400 yards from the tips and plays to small greens.

The European Tour heads to Rome, Italy and the Olgiata Golf Club which was designed by Ken Cotton and Frank Pennink which opened for play in 1962 with another nine holes being added later, making the club a 27-hole complex.

Olgiata Golf Club is around 12-miles from the centre of Rome with the Olgiata area having a very rich history that dates back over 3000 years with the lands becoming battlefields for the great families of Anguillara, Orsini, and the Chigi, fighting not only each other but several popes.
