Great to see the PGA Tour back after the lockdown break last week, the tour now moves to South Carolina and arguably the oldest golf course in the United States, South Carolina Golf Club, which was formed by Scottish merchants in 1786.

Today the resort now boosts three courses and this week’s RBC Heritage is played over the Harbour Town Golf Links. Opened for play in 1969 and designed by Pete Dye in consultation with Jack Nicklaus, Harbour Town Golf Links is recognised as one of America's top courses and is repeatedly selected by the players on the PGA Tour as one of their favorite courses.

The course is a shot makers dream and those who can move the ball and have the imagination and finesse, rather than brute force will be rewarded on this track. The course measures 6,973 yards not the longest by today’s standards but when the wind blows off the Calibogue sound, this course will put the professionals who play here this week to a stern test.

My tips to Win:

I am sure Bryson DeChambeau 16/1 – with BetFred – will walk away from last weeks Charles Schwab Challenge with mixed feelings, no doubt he will be pleased with his overall performance and how his new power handled a tricky course, but probably disappointed in the way he handled himself on Saturday. It’s another tight course this week, but one Bryson will be looking forward to as he has two Top 5 finishes from his four starts here, he will no doubt put the two missed cuts to the back of his mind!

Webb Simpson 30/1 – with BoyleSport – missed the cut at last week’s Charles Schwab Challenge, but I am sure he will be looking forward to this week after knocking the rust off in Texas. Webb was playing some great golf going into lockdown and coming back to a tournament where he has had five Top 15s which includes a runner-up finish and a Top 5 I feel we will see him in one of the final pairings come Sunday.

I am going to stick with Sung Jae Im 33/1 – with UniBet – again this week after notching up his third Top 10 in a row. Sung Jae missed the cut here last year, but it’s a different player that will be teeing it up this week and with that extra course knowledge I expect him to be challenging again come Sunday.

Each-way tips:

A past champion of this event is Matt Kuchar 45/1 – with WilliamHill – winning back in 2014 and he has not been outside of the Top 25 since and has seven other Top 15 finishes including a Top 5 and a runner-up finish last year. Matt just missed the cut at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week but he will be to being back here this week.

Another past champion of this event is Branden Grace 55/1 – with BetFred – who won back in 2016 and has two other Top 15 finishes, in fact Branden took to the Harbour Town links straight away finishing in seventh place on his first visit. Grace did make the cut at Charles Schwab Challenge and was in great shape going into the final round sitting just behind the leader, but his final round 73 see him plummet down the leader board.

Outside tip:

I must admit I was surprised to see Jason Kokrak 90/1 – with WilliamHill – this far down the betting odds after his display at the Charles Schwab Challenge and his final round 64 taking him up the leaderboard thirteen place and in to third place. Jason will be bouncing through the gates as he arrives at Harbour town and he has every right to be with four Top 20s including a sixth-place finish over the Habour Town Links track.

Longer odds:

Try Luke Donald 175/1 – with BetFred – who has 5 runner-up finishes here.

As always good luck
