Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.
With over 100 years of heritage and authority behind it, it represents the real 'voice of golf' with leading columnists, top players and unrivalled coverage of equipment and instruction.
The European Tour now moves to South Korea and the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club which was opened in 1993. The course was designed by Perry Dye – son of Pete Dye and of Alice Dye. It is known for its scenic setting, modern clubhouse, and exceptional practice facilities.
The course features steep, undulating fairways and challenging green complexes. It incorporates 12 water hazards, with 16 holes featuring water, which adds to both the visual appeal and the strategic challenge.
The outward nine features the par-5 5th hole with a hazard, trees and flower beds flanking the right side of the fairway, as well as a view of the surrounding mountains framing the green.
The bank nine of the course features the courses signature hole which arrives at the 13th. A 221-yard par-3 played to a distinctive island green. The par-5 18th is also a notable challenge with a green surrounded by an amphitheater. Many holes are reminiscent of other Perry Dye courses in Florida,
The golf club had ambitions of hosting their national championship and this honour was bestowed on them in 2003. Two American’s won the first two Korean Opens, John Daly and Edward Loar who pipped Ernie Els by four shots. In the bad weather that dogged the championship in 2004, Loar was the only player to finish under par. Rickie Fowler became the third American to win the Korea Open here in 2011, claiming his first professional title.

My tips to Win:
After three missed cuts on the spin Si Woo Kim 11/1 – with PaddyPower – has had three Top 20 finishes in his last three starts including firing a second round 64 at the Baycurrent Classic two weeks ago and Si Woo will want to perform well in front of home support
After winning three times last year on the Challenge Tour Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen 16/1 – with AKBets – is still waiting for his maiden win on the European Tour, but does have a runner-up and five other Top 10 finishes. The last one being his Top 5 in his last tournament at the Open de España
This week’s defending champion is Byeong Hun An 20/1 – with VirginBet – who won last year in a play-off against Tom Kim. We did tip Byeong two weeks ago in the Baycurrent Classic where he had a fourth-place finish. Like Si Woo, he will want to defend his title in style in front of home support
Each-way tips:
I was thinking about tipping Joost Luiten 30/1 – with BetVictor – for the India Championship as I could see he maybe coming back into form, but decided to wait and see. A sixth-place finish in India shows that something has clicked for Joost again, and I expect him to be challenging again this week
Two Top 10 finishes in his last two starts shows that Alex Fitzpatrick 50/1 – with BetVictor – should arrive here in confidence mood and while I tipped him last week at 120/1 for his third-place finish, as you can see his odds this week have been slashed. But I feel he will be back in the thick of it again come Sunday
Outside tip;
It has been a bit of an up and down season for Elvis Smylie 66/1 – with VirginBet – but a sixth-place and runner-uo finishes over the last few weeks, should see him arrive here this week in confident mood
