This week sees the Hero World Challenge pitch up in the Bahamas at the Albany Golf Course designed by Ernie Els. The course is situated on 600 acres of oceanfront and opened for play in 2010.
The course is a flattish inland desert links style and features five par 3s and five par 5s with no rough. This means you’re either on the fairway or in the sandy dunes, which has tufts of fescue running between holes. The course is long at 7,400 yards from the tips and plays to small greens.
Which means is Scottie Scheffler 11/2 – SkyBet – going to have to settle for his third runner-up finish or will he manage to get it over the line this week. All eyes will be on Scottie’s putting but if he has a half decent tournament with the flat stick then he could finally get that win here
Each-way tip:
I think next year could be a very good year for Sepp Straka 35/1 – with BetVictor – a win and two runner-up finishes on this years PGA Tour and part of that very successful European Ryder Cup team. And with all that added confidence I think he will be right in the thick of it this week
