Opened for play in 1969 and designed by Pete Dye in consultation with Jack Nicklaus, Harbour Town Golf Links is recognised as one of America's top courses and is repeatedly selected by the players on the PGA Tour as one of their favorite courses.
The course is a shot makers dream and those who can move the ball and have the imagination and finesse, rather than brute force will be rewarded on this track. The course measures 6,973 yards not the longest by today’s standards but when the wind blows off the Calibogue sound, this course will put the professionals who play here this week to a stern test.
My tips to Win: Scottie Scheffler 15/4 – with Bet365 – Left his charge at The Masters late again, but he is a past champion here and he will want to get back winning asap
Russell Henley 18/1 – with PricedUp – his Masters challenge faded on the last few holes but I am sure he will take a lot confidence from his performance
Patrick Cantlay 22/1 – with SpreadEx – a couple of third-place finishes and a runners-up finish here and comes into this week on the back of two Top 15 finishes
Viktor Hovland 40/1 – with PricedUp – had a wonderful final round at Augusta apart from one hole and should take that confidence with him into this week
