It’s the second Major Championship of the year and we head to Philadelphia for the 108th PGA Championship which pitches up at the Aronimink Golf Club, that not surprisingly was originally the Belmont Cricket Club. The club has moved several times since members decided to build a few golf holes around the outfield of the cricket pitch. But, their final move came in 1926 when the club purchased land in Newtown Square and Donald Ross was commissioned to design a new course.
Aronimink Golf Club has several claims to fame that should be remember, firstly when John Shippen an African-American was appointed the professional and succeeded James Campbell who was the clubs first professional. Another was a caddy at the club by the name of John Joseph McDermott who would become the first born and bred American to win the US Open Championship, which he defended the following year.
The club hosted the PGA Championship its first major golf tournament which was won by Gary Player in 1962. The club has undergone several changes since then, in 2003 Ron Prichard was commissioned to restore many of the classic Donald Ross features that had disappeared over time with greens being returned to their original shape and bunkers returned to their intended size. And with the discovery of some old photographs taken in 1929, Gill Hanse was commissioned to bring the bunkers and greens back to their original shapes and work on that project was completed in 2018.

Ludvig Εberg 22/1 with AKBets Started the year slowly but now has five Top 10 finishes from his last six starts and four of those have been inside the Top 5

Tyrrell Hatton 55/1 with BetVictor Tyrrell seems to up his game for the Major Championships he had a third-place finish at this years Masters and three Top 16 finishes in last years Majors
Min Woo Lee 66/1 with BetVictor Looks like he is coming back into form at just the right time with two Top 20 finishes in his last two starts. Min Woo fired a final round 64 at the weekend, which should see him teeing it up in confident mood this week
Outside tip:
J.J. Spaun 70/1 with UniBet Already has a win this year and has finished inside the Top 25 in his last three starts progressing up the leaderboard with each event with a Top 5 finish at the weekend
Longer odds:
Alex Fitzpatrick 125/1 with VirginBet Ten starts on the European Tour and was only outside the Top 25 three times with a win. Three starts on the PGA Tour and has a win and two other Top 10s
