What makes the Major Championship so intriguing at the moment is that we know three times a year the best golfers in the world come together to compete against each other. I am sure the governing bodies of those tournaments quietly like the idea that at this moment in time all eyes will be on them. Their marketing and advertising teams must be having a field day.

Of all the Major Championships, The Masters is unique in the fact that it is played at the same venue each year. We all sit glued to the action at home, knowing every contour of the greens, where to be in the fairway and what part of the greens you should and shouldn’t hit to.

And as predictable as a cockerel crowing as the sun rises, we all know, like an orchestra reaching the crescendo of a piece of music, the back nine on Sunday is like the last four minutes of a World Cup or Champions League final. The drama of Amen Corner, where the tournament is won and lost from the 11th to the 13th holes, not forgetting the par 5 15th and par-3 16th holes. Buckle up it looks like it’s going to be another rollercoaster ride!

My tips to Win:
Going for his third green jacket in four years is Scottie Scheffler 5/1 – with AKBets – and even though he hasn’t had the greatest starts to the year by his own high standards, he still hasn’t been outside the Top 25 from his six starts. Scottie has four Top 11 finishes two of which have been inside the Top 3, with a runner-up finish in his last start at the Texas Children’s Houston Open

I am not sure Rory McIlroy 7/1 – with AKBets – has ever come into the Masters Tournament in better form with two wins from five starts, all his other finishes have been inside the Top 20 and a Top 5 finish in his last event. Add in his Top 5 finish on the European Tour and his golf game couldn’t be in better shape, it is all going to come down to his mental state when he arrives here, and going into that back nine come Sunday

It is hard to gauge LIV Golf players, yes Bryson DeChambeau 20/1 – with AKBets – has five Top 20 finishes from his five starts, two of which are Top 6 finishes. But then the fields are only made up of fifty odd players, and to be honest only a handful would regular make the Top 10 on a PGA Tour event. Having said that Bryson is the current US Open Champion and had a sixth-place finish here last year. Out of the LIV players I feel he could be the one to challenge

Each-way tip:

A win and three Top 10 finishes from his seven starts this year and Russell Henley 50/1 – with QuinnBet – should arrive in confident mood this week. Russell has teed it up at The Masters eight times now with four Top 25 finishes one of which was fourth-place finish two years ago

Outside tips:

Coming into this week with four Top 10 finishes, two of which have been Top 5s is Corey Conners 70/1 – with AKBets – In fact Corey has only been outside the Top 25 three times in his nine starts. Conners has three Top 10 finishes from his seven starts at The Masters, but comes into this week with his golf game in good shape

The same could be said about Sepp Straka 70/1 – with AKBets – who has a win and two other Top 10s and has only been outside the Top 25 three times and one of those was by one shot. Sepp has three starts at The Masters with his first Top 20 finish coming last year, and I expect him to vastly improve on that this week

Longer odds:

Try Denny McCarthy 200/1 – with QuinnBet

As always good luck
