The European Tour now moves back to Africa for the Magical Kenya Open and will be played at the Muthaiga Golf Club, which has been in existence since the early 1920’s.
In 1967 the club hosted its first major golf tournament which is now known as the Magical Kenya Open. Among the many notable names that have played in the event include Bobby Locke, Bob Charles, Billy Casper, Ian Woosman, Vijay Singh, Sam Torrance, Sandy Lyle, Seve Ballesteros and Sir Nick Faldo.
The course is located on the edge of the Karura forest in the suburb of Muthaiga, to the north of Nairobi. The front nine holes are laid out across undulating terrain on the other side of Kambu Road, with the back nine routed around several man-made lakes.
In 2001 the club commissioned Peter Matkovich to undertake a redesign and modernisation programme and on November 6, 2004 the course was officially opened for play. Since that time the Muthaiga Golf Club has become renowned for the quality of its greens and landscaped bunkers, water, trees and flowering bushes that come into play on many of the holes. There have also been recent renovations with new ponds being introduced at the 15th and 16th holes.

My tips to Win:
I am going to stick with Joe Dean 28/1 with BetVictor again this week, he was one of our picks for the Qatar Masters, but withdrew. But his two Top 15 finishes in his previous two starts one of which was a fifth-place finish at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship shows his golf game is in good shape, hopefully he is as well
It looks like Angel Ayora 28/1 with SpreadEx is starting to find his form again after his missed cut in Bahrain. Angel started the season with three Top 25 finishes, two of which were Top 6s. I feel making the Top 15 again at the Qatar Masters should see him back challenging again this week
Another player that has started to show form again is South African Jayden Schaper 33/1 with SpreadEx who had a Top 5 finish at the Qatar Masters, which made it Jaydens third Top 25 finish this season from six starts
Each-way tips:
Another player we are going to stick with this week is Brandon Robinson Thompson 50/1 with Bet365 and I was surprised he was this far down the betting odds after his third-place finish at the Qatar Masters, which followed on from his eighth-place finish at the Bahrain Championship
Coming into this week with back-to-back Top 5 finishes is Martin Couvra 60/1 with Bet365 who now has three Top 10 finishes from his five starts on this seasons European Tour
Outside tip:
With two Top 25 finishes so far this year Jacques Kruyswijk 80/1 with BetVictor is playing some steady golf. But, why we feel he could be a good outside pick this week is his two Top 15 finishes in this event, one being a Top 5 shooting final rounds of 65 and 64
