Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.
With over 100 years of heritage and authority behind it, it represents the real 'voice of golf' with leading columnists, top players and unrivalled coverage of equipment and instruction.
The European tour stays in the middle east but now pitches up at the Doha Golf Club in Qatar for the Commercial bank Qatar Masters. Doha Golf Club was designed by Peter Harradine and opened for play in 1997, measuring 7374-yard.
It incorporates eight strategically positioned lakes, which have been stocked with a variety of fish. 65 giant cacti were imported from the Arizona desert, add 300 palm trees, 10 000 trees, 5,000 shrubs, limestone rock formations and like a lot of courses in the Middle East it offers a beautiful juxtaposition of beautiful lush fairways to the desert that lies beyond.
The eight artificial lakes weave their way along most of the holes and with the punishing rough, which is made up of desert sand, rocks, trees, shrubs, long grass and clever bunkering, makes accuracy a must, on a course that offers plenty of risk and reward shots.

My tips to Win:
It’s a big year for Jordan Smith 25/1 – with SpreadEx – having been picked to play for the GB&I team in the Team Cup and walking away with 2.5pts from a possible 4, he now knows he is on Captain Luke Donalds radar for the Ryder Cup picks. But to do that I think he knows that he not only has to win at least one event, but he also needs to be in contention and challenging nearly every week
A past champion of this event is Jorge Campillo 28/1 – with Bet365 – although he did win it over the Educations City course, he does have two runner-up finishes at Doha Golf Club where the event is being played this year. Jorge has played in five events this season and got off to a solid, if unspectacular start and then missed a couple of cuts, but had a Top 15 finish at the weekend at the Bahrain Championship. With that I think we will see Jorge back challenge again this week, in an event that he seems to enjoy teeing it up in
Another past champion of this event is Ewen Ferguson 33/1 – with Bet365 – who did win over the Doha course. Ewen has teed it up four times this season and while he got off to a solid start, he has missed his last two cuts. But, I expect those positive vides when he arrives here will help get him back on track this week
Each-way tips:
I am going to stick with Joe Dean 66/1 – with BetVictor – again this week. Joe notched up his second Top 15 finish in his last two starts after getting his season off to a solid start – although he did miss one cut in one of his first three events. This is Dean’s second full season on the European Tour and while there was glimpses of his potential with five Top 5 finishes including two runner-up finishes last season. I expect him to notch up his maiden European Tour win this year
It can go one of two ways for Pablo Larrazábal 80/1 – with BetVictor – this week and it will all depend on his first round start. Pablo just missed out in a play-off at the weekend, but I am sure he will take the positives from his golf game getting him into that position. If he gets off to a good start then I expect him to be in the thick of it come Sunday. If not then he will crash and burn, but I think these are good odds for the Spaniard
Outside tips:
I have tipped Brandon Robinson Thompson 90/1 – with BetVictor – a few times now and think he is going to end up being a multiple winner on the European Tour. Brandon won three times on the Challenge Tour and while he didn’t get his season off to a great start. I think with that Top 10 finish at the weekend in Bahrain we will start to see him kick on this week
