Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.
With over 100 years of heritage and authority behind it, it represents the real 'voice of golf' with leading columnists, top players and unrivalled coverage of equipment and instruction.
The tour now moves to its Florida swing – although there is a trip to Puerto Rico in two weeks time– and pitches up at The PGA National Resort with a new sponsor replacing Honda. The course was originally designed by George and Tom Fazio in 1981 and Jack Nicklaus was commissioned to undertake a re-design in 2001, adding the famed "Bear Trap" group of holes from the 15th-17th.
With its wide fairways and large accepting greens, the course relies on course management and strategy for its defence. There are 107 bunkers and sixteen of the holes have water on them.
The Championship Course has been dedicated to Jack Nicklaus, in honour, they say, "of a man whose commitment to golf has been an inspiration to the game and personifies the high standard of excellence we associate with the "Player of the Century."

My tips to Win:
Since Shane Lowry 20/1 – with BetFred – had his runner-up finish in this event in 2022 he has gone on to have two more Top 5 finishes over the PGA National course. It has been a mixed bag for Shane this year from his three starts with a runner-up finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach ProAm and a missed cut and a Top 40 finish at the Genesis Invitational. But, I think being back here we will see him challenging again this week
A past champion of this event is Sepp Straka 25/1 – with Bet365 – which was also his first PGA Tour victory, he has since gone on to win two more times including this years American Express. But this is a hit or miss event for Sepp who has another Top 5 finish from his six starts here. But I think he will be back challenging this week after taking a weeks break
Coming into this week on the back of three Top 25 finish so far this year from five starts is Daniel Berger 28/1 – with BetFred – who has two Top 12 finishes from his last two starts including a runner-up finish at the WM Phoenix Open. Daniel had a runner-up finish in this event the first time that he teed it up here and he also has two other Top 5 finishes from his other seven starts
Each-way tips;
It has been a solid start to the year for Min Woo Lee 40/1 – with UniBet – with two Top 20 finishes from his three starts. Min Woo had a runner-up finish here last year opening and closing with a pair of 67s. It was his second start in the event, just missing out on a Top 25 finish by a shot, the first time he teed it up the year before
Another past champion of this event is Rickie Fowler 55/1 – with SkyBet – who also has a runner-up and four other Top 25 finishes, two of which are Top 10s. I did tip Rickie for the Phoenix Open, but he had to withdraw, but I feel he could do well here this week
Outside tip:
Two Top 20 finishes in his last two starts should see Ryan Gerard 80/1 – with BetFred – arrive here this week in buoyant mood. Ryan has teed it up in this event once before and had a Top 4 finish, the highlight of which was his second round 63 and I think he will be looking forward to teeing it up here again this week
