Firstly congratulations to Scottie Scheffler on becoming Champion Golf of the Year and a double Major Championship winner in 2025, and now only one US Open win away from completing the Grand Slam.

The PGA Tour moves to the TPC Twin Cities layout in Blaine, Minnesota a suburb of Minneapolis and it’s another new course on the schedule. The course has been home to the 3M Championship on the PGA Champions Tour since 1991, but moved to the PGA Tour as the 3M Open in 2019.

The course was originally designed by the Arnold Palmer back in 1997, to bring the course up to PGA Tour standards a team from Arnold Palmer Design Company, have worked with Hollis Cavner, CEO of Pro Link Sports and organiser of the 3M Championship, Steve Wenzloff, senior vice president of design at PGA Tour Design Services, and professional golfer Tom Lehman.

Fairway lines have been strategically adjusted to place a premium on driving accuracy while also minimising the advantage disparity between the longer and shorter hitters on tour. Some tees and bunkers have been repositioned, added or realigned. The most significant change has been at the eighteenth hole, where the tees have been moved to a position where the hole plays its true yardage and the lake at the front of the green has been expanded.

There has also been adjustment to the 594-yard par-5 double dogleg 6th hole, which now puts a premium on accuracy and becomes a classic risk/reward hole. A tee shot played over the deep fescue grasses framing the right side will shorten the hole significantly and any successful second shot played over the pond should find the wide putting green.

I thought I would have some fun this week and put my picks into AI and here are the results!

My tips to Win:

After a whirlwind journey from the emerald dunes of Ireland, Maverick McNealy is ready to unleash his competitive spirit in Minnesota, riding high on the confidence born from four Top 25 finishes in his last five outings, including a stellar Top 5 performance at the gruelling Memorial Tournament. Sporting enticing 20/1 odds with AKBets, McNealy's recent track record here shines brightly, with two Top 20 finishes in his last three visits, highlighted by an impressive third-place finish last year. With the stars aligned and a spring in his step, he’s set to make waves once again!

Each-way tips:

Once a triumphant champion, Tony Finau stands at an enticing 40/1 odds with UniBet, having graced every edition of this tournament since its inception. Remarkably, he has never strayed from the Top 30, boasting not just a glorious victory but also three additional Top 15 finishes, including a commendable Top 10 and a third-place finish. While this year may not have unfolded as he had hoped, the magic of returning to familiar greens could very well reignite the spark that lights up his game. Here’s to hoping the past champion finds his rhythm once again and weaves some fresh enchantment into the course!

I'm rolling the dice again with a couple of my favourite picks from last week, and at the top of the list is the intriguing Kurt Kitayama at a tempting 40/1 with BetVictor. Why am I all in on him? Well, he's been on quite the journey lately, notching up a couple of impressive Top 5 finishes in his last six outings, alongside another solid Top 25. Sure, he's had his share of ups and downs with two missed cuts, but he’s riding high from a Top 15 finish at the weekend. Plus, as he returns to a venue where he clinched sixth place last year, you have to feel he’ll be strutting in with confidence, especially in this more forgiving field!

I'm throwing my support behind Rico Hoey at 55/1 with BetVictor! After notching up his second Top 15 finish in the last three outings, I have a strong feeling he’s poised to shine this week. Let’s see if he can turn the heat up on the competition!

Outside tips:

This week’s defending champion, Jhonattan Vegas, boasts impressive odds of 66/1 with UniBet – a testament to his prowess on the greens! Having not only clinched the title but also claimed a runner-up finish at this event, his track record at the TPC Twin Cities course is a compelling story, especially for someone who’s only played here three times. What will he conjure up this time?

The final gem I’m holding onto from last week is none other than Patrick Fishburn at an enticing 66/1 with UniBet. While his performance at the Barracuda Championship didn’t quite hit the mark, he comes armed with two solid Top 20 finishes leading up to that event, including a commendable sixth place at the ISCO Championship. Let’s not forget, Patrick also clinched a sixth-place finish in this very event last year, marking his thrilling debut here. I have a feeling he’s poised to turn things around!

Longer odds:

Try Jackson Suber 150/1 – with UniBet365

As always good luck
