Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.

The European Tour heads East to Korea and pitches up at The Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea. The golf course opened for play in 2010 and become a model for the expensive private clubs that are common in this part of the world. The course was built on reclaimed land near Incheon airport and cost around $70 Million to develop. The lavish clubhouse and practice facilities were almost double that figure. One of the courses claims to fame is that it is the only golf course in Asia to have hosted The Presidents Cup.
A unique urban golf course that offers views of modern high-rise buildings while clocked in the peaceful natural scenery of the west coast. The course is situated close enough to the sea for the wind to play a factor on course strategy. Unlike most other inland golf clubs in Korea, bent grass is used in the fairways as well as the tees and bathes the course in a lush green, so it becomes a natural oasis, in stark contrast to the juxtaposed urban grey of city life that awaits outside the golf clubs gates.
The Nicklaus design is reminiscent of his work throughout North America, offering attractive water features and semi-rugged white sanded bunkers. Water is a prominent feature on several of the courses longer hole’s that meander around lakes, while three of the par threes play directly across the water. A highlight during the tournament will be the drivable par 4, 14th, which crosses a creek and resembles the famous 14th at Muirfield Village, except that this green has more undulations.

My tips to Win:
No real surprise that Tom Kim 8/1 – with UniBet – missed the cut at the Shriners Children’s Open with his only competitive golf before that being the Presidents Cup matches. The good news is that he will have knocked the rust off and will want to perform well in front of a home crowd
Similar to Byeong-Hun An 9/1 – with UniBet – who will also want to play well in front of home support. The difference between the two is that Byeong hasn’t played since the Presidents Cup matches, but he did finish the PGA Season in good form with four Top 25 finishes from his last five starts and finished inside the Top 25 on the OOM
Although I didn’t tip Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen 25/1 – with BetVictor – at the Andalucia Masters I was quite surprised he finished that far down the leaderboard after having three Top 20 finishes in his previous three starts. But with this field I expect him to be back challenging this week
Each-way tips:
A third-place finish in this event last year should see Joost Luiten 33/1 – with SpreadEx – looking forward to teeing it up again here this week. It has been a very patchy season for Joost, but he had a solid last three rounds at the weekend at the Andalucia Masters and that should give him some confidence coming back to a tournament he played well in last year
I don’t feel a missed cut at the weekend will affect Gavin Green 50/1 – with SkyBet – too much coming into this week, especially as he had a Top 15 finish here last year and always seems to play well when the tour heads east.
Outside tip:
Another local favourite will be Junghwan Lee 125/1 – with BetVictor – who had a Top 10 finish here last year shooting a final round 68 to move up the leaderboard nine places on the final day. Junghwan has not been outside the Top 15 in his four starts on the Asian Tour with three of those being inside the Top 10
