Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.
With over 100 years of heritage and authority behind it, it represents the real 'voice of golf' with leading columnists, top players and unrivalled coverage of equipment and instruction.
The European Tour is back this week and pitches up at the Kyle Phillips designed PGA National Czech Republic course, which is at the heart of the 350-acre Oaks Prague estate featuring a clubhouse that was once a chateau and listed as an historic building once owned by the Von Schuttelsberg family.
Designed with environmental and sustainability in mind, the first nine holes were opened in August 2019, with the full 18-hole course opening in the summer of 2020.
The first three holes are parkland holes next to old tall oak trees, with the 2nd hole plays uphill along a small valley with a stream running along the left from tee to green. The stream and wetland area then lurk to the right side of the tree-lined par three 3rd.
Holes 4 to 11 are the newest holes with highlights being both the par threes at the 8th and 11th, the second of these holes framed by a wooded area. The downhill par five 9th is another wonderfully designed golf hole, where the fairway falls away sharply to a lower level on its way to the green.
The final six holes are a fitting finale to the course especially the downhill 14th, with the city of Prague in the distance framing the hole. The dogleg left par five 16th offers a birdie chance. The challenge on this closing stretch continues right to the 18th green, which you play up to from the fairway so players will need to club up accordingly.

My tips to Win:
Currently sitting inside the Top 15 on the Race to Dubai is Tom McKibbin 16/1 – with Bet365 – who has a runner-up finish and five other Top 10s. I was surprised that he didn’t challenge at both the Scottish and The Open, but I expect him to be back on track this week and in the thick of it again come Sunday
It is quite surprising that Richard Mansell 25/1 – with Bet365 – is still waiting to pick up his first European Tour title and he certainly started the season well and didn’t finish outside the Top 25 in his first seven starts. It hasn’t gone quite so well since his withdrawal from the Indian Open, but there were signs at the Scottish Open that he will start to challenge again
After having some driver trouble Connor Syme 25/1 – with Bet365 – after working with the guys from Ping now looks to be back on track after two Top 15 finishes in this last two starts, one being his fourth-place finish at the BMW International Open. And I expect him to be back challenging again this week
Each-way tips:
With four Top 10 finish from his last ten starts including a runner-up at the Soudal Open (not counting his withdrawal from The Open) and two Top 10s in his last two starts Romain Langasque 30/1 – with BetVictor – should arrive here in confident mood this week
I am sure Sami Välimäki 45/1 – with BetVictor – will have learned a lot from his first full season on the PGA Tour the highlight of which was his runner-up finish at the Mexico Open, but there also has been eleven missed cuts from his eighteen starts. Sami had a Top 5 finish in this event last year although on a different track and I am sure he will be looking to get challenging in golf tournaments again now he’s back on the European Tour
