Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.
With over 100 years of heritage and authority behind it, it represents the real 'voice of golf' with leading columnists, top players and unrivalled coverage of equipment and instruction.
In 1954 Dr Phillips sold his holdings to Granada Groves, a subsidiary of the Minute Maid Corporation, and retained only the raw land. Tom Barnes, a native of Minnesota, who had always wanted to build a championship golf course, took an option out on the land with his partner, Tom Dore, a Michigan businessman who surveyed the land and saw an immediate vision of what this land could become.
They broke ground on the golf course in 1960 and christened the area “Bay Hill” The original golf course architect was Dick Wilson, Bay Hill was the first golf course planted with Tifway (Tifton 419) Bermuda grass. Wildlife still inhabited the land including a family of bobcats that resided around the 17th green. In 1965,
Walt Disney announced the purchase of over 27,000 acres of land nearby, where the Walt Disney World Resort would soon emerge.
The same year, Arnold Palmer played in and won a charity exhibition tournament at Bay Hill, Arnold fell in love with the course and the area, so much so he wanted to own it.
In the summer of 2009 Arnold decided to redesign the course with his design company. He redesigned all 18 greens, reworked of all the bunkering and made major changes to four holes. The yardage went up from 7,103 to 7,196.

My tips to Win:
I think this could come down to the two best ball strikers in the world but two of the worst putters in the Top 50, what tips it in Scottie Scheffler 13/2 with LiveScoreBet favour for me over Rory is his wedge play, which slightly takes the pressure off his putting as he puts it so close, consistently
Which brings us to Rory McIlroy 9/1 with LiveScoreBet who showed over the weekend what an amazing driver of the golf ball he is, but he also showed us his weaknesses with his wedge play and putting. I think Rory needs to play at least the week before big tournaments just to get that sharpness. I have know doubt his wedges and putting will improve this week having had that competitive pressure last week
This is the first professional tournament that Ludvig Εberg 20/1 with SkyBet came to prominence with his Top 25 finish last year, the rest has as they say is history. I am sure that this event holds a lot of love by Ludvig and one that I am sure he would dearly love to win and I feel he will definitely be in the thick of it this week
Each-way tips:
A past champion of this even is Jason Day 40/1 with SkyBet who has three Top 10 finishes so far this year from his five starts. Apart from his win here Jason also has five other Top 25 finishes including a Top 10 from his nine starts. On a side note Day has also W/D from this event three times, so it maybe worth checking out the odds and having a little punt on a withdrawal!
It has been a bit of a stop start year so far for Keegan Bradley 66/1 with SkyBet who has a runner-up and Top 15 finishes but also has a missed cut from his five starts this year. Keegan also has a runner-up finish in this event along with another Top 5, two Top 10s and a Top 15 from his twelve starts, and I think these could be very good odds for the Vermontese
Outside tip:
I am not sure Erik Van Rooyen 90/1 with UniBet would have been disappointed he didnt win at the weekend and to be honest I am sure he is going to be bouncing in this week knowing that his final round run got him into this event. If you add that final round 63 and his opening round 63 at the Mexico Open he comes into this week with his golf game in great shape and these could end up being very good odds for the South African
As always good luck
