Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.
With over 100 years of heritage and authority behind it, it represents the real 'voice of golf' with leading columnists, top players and unrivalled coverage of equipment and instruction.
The European Tour heads off to Malelane and the stunning Leopard Creek CC for the Alfred Dunhill Championship. It’s the eighteenth time that the tournament will be held at the Gary Player designed course.
The Innovative design and landscaping techniques used have ensured Leopard Creek golf course and living areas are naturally protected from animals. Lakes and small streams have been diverted through the development to not only create some stunning views, but to make this track a very strategic one.
Much of the water is home to the magnificent creatures for which the river is named. Extensive use of water features and sightings of crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo and wild boar are commonplace, either on the course itself or next to the river running alongside several holes.
The 552 yard par-five 13th is one of Leopard Creek’s signature holes. The green is right on the edge of the Crocodile River but 32 metres above the level of the water, offering spectacular views up the river and into Kruger Park.

My tips to Win:
A past champion of this event is Christiaan Bezuidenhout 10/1 with Bet365 who comes into this week on the back of his sixth-place finish at the weekends Nedbank Golf Challenge. Christiaan always seems to play well in these early season European Tour events in his homeland, he had three Top 20 finishes from his three starts in these tournaments last year, and one of those was a third-place finish here
Looking to win this event for the first time is Thriston Lawrence 16/1 with BetFred who has four wins on the European Tour, two of which have been on home-soil. Thriston was pushing to win the Race to Dubai a few weeks ago, and I think he will be in the thick of it again come Sunday
We have tipped Matti Schmid 28/1 with SpreadEx a few times on the PGA Tours Fall Series of events, where he had three Top 16 finishes from his five starts and two of those were Top 5 finishes. Mattis form did trail off in the last two events, but I expect him to be back challenging this week on a course where he had a Top 5 finish last year
Each-way tips:
Coming into this week full of confidence will be Romain Langasque 35/1 with SpreadEx who kicked off his new season with a runner-up finish at the weekend. This followed on from his two Top 20 finishes from his last three starts at the end of season events on the European Tour
Coming up from the Challenge Tour this season is Angel Ayora 66/1 with UniBet who finished the Challenge tour season with two runner-up finishes, which followed on from winning earlier in the year. Angel has kicked off his first season on the European Tour with two Top 25 finishes from his two starts with one of those being a sixth-place finish at the Australian PGA Championship
Outside tip:
Sitting top of the Sunshine Tours OOM is Daniel Van Tonder 80/1 with UniBet with two wins, two runner-up finishes, four other Top 10s and Daniel has only been outside the Top 20 twice in his fifteen starts.
