Golf Monthly is the market leading golfing magazine in the UK. It's a lively and welcoming read that is targeted at good golfers who are regular players - and keen to get even better.
With over 100 years of heritage and authority behind it, it represents the real 'voice of golf' with leading columnists, top players and unrivalled coverage of equipment and instruction.
The European tour now heads to the middle east and pitches up at the Doha Golf Club in the UAE for the Commercial bank Qatar Masters, which for the last two years has been held at the Education City Golf Club. Doha Golf Club was designed by Peter Harradine and opened for play in 1997, measuring 7374-yard.
It incorporates eight strategically positioned lakes, which have been stocked with a variety of fish.
65 giant cacti were imported from the Arizona desert, add 300 palm trees, 10 000 trees, 5,000 shrubs, limestone rock formations and like a lot of the courses in the UEA it offers a beautiful juxtaposed position of beautiful lush fairways to the desert that lies beyond.
The eight artificial lakes weave their way along most of the holes and with the punishing rough, which is made up of desert sand, rocks, trees, shrubs, long grass and clever bunkering, makes accuracy a must, on a course that offers plenty of risk and reward shots.

With a runner-up and a third place finish here from his nine starts I am sure Thorbjørn Olesen 20/1 – with LiveScoreBet – will be looking forward to teeing it back up at the Qatar Masters this week. Thorbjørn has three Top 20 finishes from his last four starts including two Top 10s, the second one coming at the weekend at the Andalucia Masters
This year's defending champion is Ewen Ferguson 28/1 – with LiveScoreBet – who won this event in his first ever start here. Ewen comes into this week on the back of three Top 15 finishes from his last four starts with two of those being Top 10 finishes
This will be the third week that I have tipped Adrian Otaegui 33/1 – with SportingIndex – and he has two Top 16 finishes from his last three starts. Adrian has two Top 10 finishes from his six starts here and his best finish came last last year when he made the Top 5
Each-way tips:
Two Top 10 finishes in his last two starts should see Richard Mansell 40/1 – with LiveScoreBet – arrive in Qatar in confident mood. This will be the first time that Richard has played in this event and in his current form I think he will be in the thick of it again come Sunday
With four Top 25 finishes from his eight starts at the Qatar Masters including a runner-up while it was played at the Doha GC Jorge Campillo 50/1 – with LiveScoreBet – will be looking forward to teeing it here again this week. Jorge is a past champion of this event winning it the first year it was held at the Education City GC in 2020
Outside tips:
A Top 15 finish at the weekend at the Andalucia Masters and coming back to a course where he had a Top 5 finish last year Matthew Jordan 80/1 – with UniBet – should be looking forward to this week
