It's 9am and I can taste the salt in my mouth as the Zodiac boat I am in skims along the top of the waves heading towards shore. No, I am not on an SAS training mission – I am ten minutes away from the harbour at Cabot Links on Cape Breton Island and, to be honest, it’s probably the best way I have ever arrived at a golf course.
One Ocean Expeditions fiddle and sticks cruise is like no other golf tour you will ever undertake, imagine never having to worry about your clubs, they just appear on a buggy with your name on ready for you to play the next stunning course on the itinerary.
And for the non-golfers – or if you just fancy a day off from playing golf – you can indulge from a plethora of activates from Kayaking, Walking/Hiking, Cycling, Bird Watching, Paddle Boarding and Zodiac tours. Add to that a French chef and his wonderful staff conjuring up delicacies to tantalise the taste buds and of course the wonderful views as the ship sails from course to course, island to island.
