Technology:

The Ram FX fairway woods combines an aerodynamic premium stainless steel shaped head to help with increased club head speed, while utilising an oversized sweet spot for more consistent shots, which also helps with forgiveness.

The head design allows for a low and forward centre of gravity, so not only helping with distance, but helping you launch the ball higher for increased distance.

Ram have also used a custom sole design that helps with turf interaction, reducing turf drag and twist for longer straighter shots from the fairway.

The shaft is a UST dRVR graphite shaft which comes in regular, senior and stiff flexes options, and in regular and one-inch longer-than-standard lengths

Conclusion:

I tested this in Ireland and really enjoyed playing with it. I did feel the stiff shaft was a bit to whippy for me and so I slowed my swing down to compensate, but after doing that the strike and ball flight were excellent.

I like the design and the look of the club at address and felt the design of the sole and the low and forward COG would certainly benefit a lot of new players and higher handicapped golfers with turf interaction and launch angle.

The most impressive part of the club is the price. If you’re on a budget or new to the game and looking for fairway woods that are well designed and will help you improve your game, while still being friendly on your pocket, then I would certainly recommend the Ram fairway woods
