Italian fashion brand Duca del Cosma has boosted its production in Europe of its latest Spring/Summer collection of premium golf shoes thus giving golfers a bigger choice of styles and size options at the start of the season.
Duca del Cosma have four manufacturing plants in northern Portugal which are set up to produce more of the distinctive hand-made leather golf shoes that come in both soft spike and spikeless versions.
CEO Sjef van Gastel, who recently oversaw the company move to a new HQ outside Amsterdam stated, “As the start of the golfing season approaches, we can guarantee that every style in our Spring/Summer collection will be delivered within 3-5 days of an order being placed”.
The latest Men’s collection includes the soft spiked waterproof MASTERS design that comes in two colour options and also features the ARNEFLEX® insert soles for comfort and breathability with the outsoles offering stability during the swing. All footwear comes with a second pair of laces so you can colour coordinate with different outfits.
Conclusion
As most of you know I am always very wary of testing new golf shoes as I only take one pair with me when I go away on equipment testing trips. Golf shoes can certainly make or break and more to the point shred your heels, making it very painful for the next day’s testing.
The good news is no shredded heels, blisters etc; a slight problem under the bottom part of the laces on the first round but I put that right after a couple of holes and all was perfect after that. I loved the modern look and design and being able to swap laces to match different outfits.
Winter in Kent isn’t the greatest time of year to test golf shoes because of the mud, worm casts etc, however it certainly highlights just how waterproof a pair of golf shoes are. You can be in for a very rude awakening if your new golf shoes are not up to the test of a very wet British winter.
The good news is dry feet from start to finish and that is saying something given the deluge we have had this year. Duca del Cosma have some perfectly designed golf shoes and being able to wear them straight from the box, the only decision you need to make is what pair matches your golf apparel the best.
