| I am probably not the only one who hates the worm castes that start to appear as autumn begins and your nice white golf shoes start to get clogged up with mud. With that in mind I put Stuburts Evolve-Sport Waterproof Boot to the test in the Garden of England, Kent.
Technology:
Designed to give you superb support and durability the Evolve-Sport utilises an EVA cushioned midsole for comfort & flexibility, this works with a microfibre mid-cut comfort upper and this is all topped – or bottomed – off with a cushioned inner sole.
There is a rubber outer sole with SoftSpike Pin system spikes giving you traction and stability during your swing. The boot comes with a 1-year waterproof warranty this is mainly due to its Microfibre upper combined with a membrane system to offer excellent waterproofing.
Conclusion:
If you want a golf shoe for the winter that will probably last you the next 10-years and still be waterproof then the Stuburt Evolve-Sport Waterproof Boot is for you. It may not be stylish or the lightest shoe on the market, but it will certainly be the longest lasting and most waterproof item of footwear you will ever need to buy.
I was worried about my ankles taking a bit of a shredding – my ankles and boots have a love/hate relationship since my Dr Martens days – but the padding meant they were well protected and my feet certainly felt comfortable and snug.
They do take a bit of getting used to because of their weight – I have been using lightweight golf shoes all summer – but after a few holes the weight difference went unnoticed. As the rain and wind lashed down at The London Club I was more than happy with not only them being guaranteed 100% waterproof but how warm they kept my feet.
