Congratulations to Justin Thomas on a fantastic win at The Players Championship. The tour stays on its Florida swing and pitches up at The PGA National Resort. The course was originally designed by George and Tom Fazio in 1981 and Jack Nicklaus was commissioned to undertake a re-design in 2001, adding the famed "Bear Trap" group of holes from the 15th-17th.

With its wide fairways and large accepting greens, the course relies on course management and strategy for its defence. There are 107 bunkers and sixteen of the holes have water on them.

The Championship Course has been dedicated to Jack Nicklaus, in honour, they say, "of a man whose commitment to golf has been an inspiration to the game and personifies the high standard of excellence we associate with the "Player of the Century."

My tips to Win:

I am going to stick with Daniel Berger 11/1 with BetFair again this week, unfortunately for Daniel he got off to a bad start at The Players shooting an opening day 74 and never really recovered from that, but a final round 67 see him move up the leaderboard seventeen places and into the Top 10. Berger had a runner-up here in his first start and a Top 5 last year so he will have plenty of positive memories to draw on when he arrives here this week.

This weeks defending champion is Sung Jae Im 12/1 with 888Sport and he should come into this week in confident mood after firing two 66s at The Players Championship, unfortunately he also shot a third round 77 that took him out of contention. Sung Jae has played in sixteen events since the start of this wraparound season and has only missed the cut once and has eight Top 25 finishes and I expect him to defend his title in style.

Another past champion of this event is Russell Henley 30/1 with WilliamHill who won the second time he teed it up here, Russell also has four other Top 25 finishes including an eighth-place finish last year. Although Henley missed the cut at The Players at the weekend he does already have two Top 5 finishes this season.

Each-way tips:

I think it has taken Brendan Steele 45/1 with SportingBet a bit of time to recover from not winning the Sony Open in Hawaii after firing a third round 61 only to miss out again in a play-off for the second year on the spin, although he did make the Top 25 the following week at The American Express. Brendan has four Top 15 finishes at the Honda Classic including his fourth-place finish last year and I think these are good odds for the lad from California.

Keegan Bradley 50/1 with BetFred has been quietly going about his business since he missed two cuts on the spin in January, Keegan just missed out on a Top 25 finish at the weekend which followed on from his Top 10 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and two great opening rounds at the Waste Management when he opened with rounds of 66, 65. Bradley does have three Top 15 finishes here including a Top 5, but he has also missed the cut several times, but as I said he is playing some good golf at the moment, so I expect him to again this week.

Outside tip:

To say its been a bit of a rollercoaster season for Maverick McNealy 100/1 with BetFred would be a bit of an understatement, with six missed cuts from his thirteen starts, but he also has five Top 25 finishes including his runner-up at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am where he shot a final round 66. Maverick played in this event for the first time last year and finished just outside the Top 10, so he will have some positive memories to draw on when he arrives here this week.

Longer odds:

Try Harry Higgs 150/1 with BetWay

As always good luck
