| East Lake Golf Club is the home course of legendary amateur golfer Bobby Jones and has held some major golf tournaments including the Ryder Cup in 1963 and the US Amateur in 2001 and is now the permanent home to the Tour Championship since 2005.
The club motto is “Golf with a Purpose” and working with the local community, all profits from the club, as well as charitable donations from the club’s corporate membership support the East Lake Foundation. Helping Atlanta's East Lake residents by giving them opportunities to build a better future through education for children and adults, affordable housing, job readiness and connections with the broader community.
Established in 1904, East Lake is the oldest golf course in Atlanta. Originally designed by Tom Bendelow, but completely reworked by Donald Ross in 1913. In 1994, Rees Jones restored Donald Ross' original golf course layout, which now measures 7,374 yards.
The signature hole at the 168-yard, par 3 6th plays from an elevated tee to a diagonally angled peninsula green. This green existed on the original Tom Bendelow course where it served as the green at the par 5 16th and was at the time, one of the first island greens in America.

My tips to Win:
From his eight starts in the Tour Championship at East Lake, the new world number one Justin Rose 9/1 – with BetFred – has six Top 10 finishes which includes two runners-up and a fourth place. I don’t think Justin has battled all his professional life to make to the world number one spot to give it up so quickly and he will be going all out to cement his position this week and I believe in the process he will not only finally win this event but also take the FedEx Cup with it.
Hard on his tail will I believe be Brooks Koepka 14/1 – with BoyleSport – and it will certainly be fitting finale that the back-to-back and reigning US Open and PGA Champion closes the season with victory in the Tour Championship. It’s been an incredible year for the Floridian and I am sure he will be eyeing this as the perfect way to end the season.
Each-way tip:
After finally being confirmed on the European Ryder Cup team Paul Casey 40/1 – with Ladbrokes – will be looking to make a statement of intent this week. The Englishman has finished in the Top 5 for the last two years at East Lake and was leading going into the final round last year, but a final round 73 see him slip down the leaderboard four places. Casey has teed it up four times in the Tour Championship and made the Top 5 each time and he will be looking to at least keep that run going this week, but I am sure there is a burning desire to rectify last year’s result.
As always good luck
