The Tour moves to the TPC Summerlin Club in Las Vegas for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

Designed by Bobby Weed with input from Fuzzy Zoeller, the 7,223-yard opened for play in November 1991 and was built in the heart of Summerlin, a 22,000-acre planned community on the western-most edge of Las Vegas, it incorporates traditional golf design with the natural desert terrain of the region.

As a stadium course, the TPC Summerlin was built to accommodate golfing fans with unrestricted views of tee shots, fairway approaches and putting, by using strategically placed spectator mounds and natural amphitheatres.

My tips to Win:

This will be Bryson DeChambeau 14/1 – with PaddyPower – first tournament of the new wraparound season choosing not to play in last week’s WGC event. Bryson had a Top 10 finish here last year and although he didn’t perform that well at the Ryder Cup, he is the same player who has won three tournaments so far this year and I am sure he will want to get back on that horse asap.

Two Top 5 finishes from two starts on the new wraparound season should see Gary Woodland 18/1 – with SportingBet – in buoyant mood this week. Gary teed it up for the first time in this event last year and had a creditable Top 20 finish and will be looking forward to challenging again this week.

This week’s defending champion is Patrick Cantlay 20/1 – with SportingBet – who comes into this week on the back of a Top 10 finish at the WGC. It was the first time that Patrick had teed it up at the TPC Summerlin course last year and it obviously suited his eye and game. Cantlay should arrive in confident mood and depending on how he recovers from his flight back from China, I expect him to be in the thick of it again.

Each-way tips:

Last year was the first time a number of my picks teed it up at TPC Summerlin and Beau Hossler 50/1 – with RoyalPanda – is another one of those and his Top 10 finish should see him looking forward to this week’s tournament. Beau started the new season with a missed cut but has progressively improved over his three starts and if that progression continues this week he should be right in the thick of it come Sunday afternoon.

Kevin Na 50/1 – with SportingBet – has a win and a runner-up finish over the TPC Summerlin course so we can assume that it’s a course he enjoys playing and suits his eye. The gap between winning this event in 2011 and his win this year, is gap Kevin will not want to replicate and I think being back here and those positive vibes will see him challenging this week.

Outside tip:

Another player that has a win and a runner-up finish here is Martin Laird 80/1 – with Bet365 – Martin is another player that should come into this week in buoyant mood after his Top 10 finish at last week’s Sanderson Farm Championship and I think these are good odds for the Scotsman.

Longer odds:

Try Nick Watney 125/1 – with Bet365

As always good luck
