The European Tour starts it's Final Series and moves to Turkey and to the Colin Montgomerie designed Montgomerie Maxx Royal course in Belek, Antalya for the Turkish Airlines Open.

The course was designed in 2008 in conjunction with European Golf Design. The 18-hole championship course is set within 104 hectares of mixed pine forest and eucalyptus trees. The front nine features natural lakes while the back nine provides testing tee shots over large expanses of sandy wasteland.

My tips to win:

It is strange to say it has seemed like a quiet year for Bernd Wiesberger 20/1 – with Coral – especially because he has a win, two runners-up and four other Top 10 finishes this year. I think that is mainly because I’m now used to the Austrian being in the thick of it whenever he tees it up. Bernd does have a habit of winning in pairs i.e. twice on the challenge Tour in 2010 and twice in 2010 on the European Tour, so if he keeps that run going look for Wiesberger to be in the thick of it again come Sunday.

Someone who does have multiple wins this year is Andy Sullivan 25/1 – with Bet365 – with three wins so far this year and three other Top 10 finishes. Andy has normally bombed the following week after a win, but has sensibly taken a break last week after his win at the Portugal Masters and I think that may just work for the lad from Nuneaton who had a Top 5 here last year.

One player who did benefit from taking a week off after his first win since turning professional was Matthew Fitzpatrick 22/1 – with Bet365 – who added yet another Top 5 finish to go with the six others he has managed in his debut season on the European Tour. Matthew has been playing that well that he could make the Ryder Cup team in only his second year on the European Tour and a win here will go a big way to making that happen.

My each-way tips:

Yet another multiple winner on the European tour this year who had back-to-back victories is Thomas Pieters 35/1 – with BetFred – and his sixth place finish at the Portugal Masters a few weeks ago should see the lad from Antwerp come into this week in confident mood

Stephen Gallacher 66/1 – Ladbrokes – has suffered with injuries this year, so it has been a bit of a rollercoaster season for the Scotsman, but Top 20 and Top 10 finishes from his last three starts sees Stephen coming back to a track where he has had two Top 25 finish in confident mood. Gallacher has won at least one event each year over the last two years and although both wins came in the Dubai Desert Classic, he will be looking to keep that run of winning at least one tournament a year going.

I am going to stick with Lucas Bjerregaard 66/1 – with StanJames – this week after his runner-up finish at last weeks Hong Kong Open, four Top 10 finishes – three of those are Top 5 finishes – from his last six starts shows the lad is in great form. Lucas had not played in this event over the last two years, but I am sure he will once again be challenging this week.
