The Tour moves to the TPC Summerlin Club in Las Vegas for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

Designed by Bobby Weed with input from Fuzzy Zoeller, the 7,223-yard opened for play in November 1991 and was built in the heart of Summerlin, a 22,000-acre planned community on the western-most edge of Las Vegas, it incorporates traditional golf design with the natural desert terrain of the region.

As a stadium course, the TPC Summerlin was built to accommodate golfing fans with unrestricted views of tee shots, fairway approaches and putting, by using strategically placed spectator mounds and natural amphitheatres.

My tips to win:

There are a couple of players I am sticking with this week and the first one is Brooks Koepka 20/1 – with Ladbrokes – who had a strange week last week, when he fired a third round 66 to put himself back in with a chance of challenging and then shot a final round 75, that see him slide down the leaderboard twenty-four places. Brooks played well here last year shooting a 64 on the way to a Top 5 finish and I expect to see a more consistent Koepka this week.

The other player I am sticking with this week is Kevin Na 28/1 – with Coral – who lost out in a play-off to Emiliano Grillo 28/1 – with BetVictor – at last weeks Frys.com Open. It is always hard to say how a player will react after just missing out, but Kevin has been in great form lately and I am hoping he will see last week in a positive light and know it's a natural progression of his golf game to be challenging every tournament he tees it up. Na’s Maiden PGA Tour victory came at this event and I expect him to be in the thick of it again this week.

Brandt Snedeker 28/1 – with Coral – finished last weeks Frys.com Open in good form shooting a final round 67 which was the third lowest score of the day. Brandt seems to enjoy playing on the TPC Summerlin track, having played the event twice now he has still to shoot a round in the seventies and had a Top 10 finish here last year firing rounds of 67-68-67-69 and I can see him adding to his seven PGA Tour victories here this week.

My each-way tips

Jason Bohn 40/1 – with Bet365 – comes into this week in good form after his Top 5 finish last week. Jason has a good record at the Shriners Hospital Open over the last couple of years, Bohn has had a runner-up finish and three Top 20s from his last five starts here. Jason had six Top 10 finishes last season and finished 40th on the FedCup rankings and just missing out on the play-off last week and then teeing it up on a course he enjoys playing this week, I think we will see Bohn in one of the final pairings come Sunday.

Another player who has a good record here is Webb Simpson 45/1 – with Coral – who won the event two years ago – his last win on the PGA Tour, – defended his title with a Top 5 finish last year and had another Top 5 in 2010. Webb had a strange year last year having three consecutive missed cuts at the start of the season then went on a run of eight Top 25 finishes which included a run of five Top 10s. With Simpson’s good record here I expect him to be challenging this week.

My outside tip:

Martin Laird 80/1 – with SportingBet – is also a past champion here winning the event in 2009 and he nearly retained his title the following year but just missed out in a three way play-off. Last year was the first time that Laird had really shown up in the tournament since 2010, opening with a round of 64 but slowly slid out of contention but still managed to stay in the Top 20. Martin seems to have a knack of winning an event in odd years since his first victory here in 2009 – 2011 Arnold Palmer Invitational, 2013 Valero Texas Open – there is still time to keep that run going!
