The tour heads off to Florida this week and the Champions course at The PGA National Resort. The course was originally designed by George and Tom Fazio in 1981 and Jack Nicklaus was commissioned to undertake a re-design in 2001, adding the famed "Bear Trap" group of holes from the 15th-17th.

With its wide fairways and large accepting greens, the course relies on course management and strategy for its defence. There are 107 bunkers and sixteen of the holes have water on them.

The Championship Course has been dedicated to Jack Nicklaus, in honour, they say, "of a man whose commitment to golf has been an inspiration to the game and personifies the high standard of excellence we associate with the "Player of the Century."

My tips to win:

This weeks defending champion is Rickie Fowler 9/1 – with PaddyPower – and I am sure after his final round 73 at the Phoenix Open he will be wanting to get right back in the mix this week. Even after that final round Rickie finished just outside the Top 10, he also had a forth place finish at the Tournament of Champions.

Sergio Garcia 18/1 – Bet365 – has never won this event but he does have a runner-up and three other Top 15 finishes here. This is the start to Sergio’s defence of his green jacket and he will want to walk through those gates at Augusta with a win under his belt and so I expect him to be right in the thick of it this week.

I am going to stick with Tommy Fleetwood 30/1 – with Bet365 – this week, mainly because a lot of British and Irish golfers seem to do well on this track and especially after knocking a bit of rust off last weekend at the Genesis Open. Like Sergio this is Tommy’s build up to the Masters and he will also be going all out to get his first win on the PGA Tour before he takes that journey down Magnolia Lane.

My each-way tips:

It has been a quiet start for Jason Dufner 55/1 – with Bet365 – this year but he has had two Top 20 finishes from his three starts, which both came in Hawaii. As must of you know there is a caveat when I tip Jason, no one is ever in doubt about his driving and iron play, its those putts from inside 6 feet that are the problem. If he holes a couple of those early in his round then I expect him to be right in the thick of it, miss a couple…

Another player you maybe surprised I am sticking with this week is Ollie Schniederjans 60/1 – with SportingBet – who missed the cut at last weeks Genesis Open. I did say then that if Ollie kept up the progression he was actually due to miss the cut, but also in that vain he is due to challenge this week. His record so far this year reads seventh, missed cut, third missed cut, I am sure you can see where I am going with this.

My outside tips:

There are several great outside tips this week Graeme McDowell 80/1 – with BetFred – will be disappointed with his final round at the Genesis Open but I am sure he will take a lot of positives from being back in contention. This week he will be coming back to an event where he has five Top 15s – four of which were Top 10s. And Billy Horschel 110/1 – with Bet365 – has two Top 10s here in his last two starts and although he has missed two cuts on the spin in his last two starts he is playing in front of home support.

Longer odds:

Try past champion Luke Donald 200/1 – with SportingBet – who also has runner-up finish here as well.

As always good luck
