The tour heads off to Florida this week and back to stroke play after last week’s exciting match play tournament at the WGC. The Champions course held at The PGA National Resort at Palm Beach Gardens was originally designed by George and Tom Fazio in 1981. Jack Nicklaus was commission to undertake a re-design in 2001, adding the famed "Bear Trap" group of holes from 15th-17th.

With its wide fairways and large accepting greens, the course relies on course management and strategy for its defence. There are 107 bunkers and sixteen of the holes have water on them.

The Championship Course has been dedicated to Jack Nicklaus, in honour, they say, "of a man whose commitment to golf has been an inspiration to the game and personifies the high standard of excellence we associate with the "Player of the Century."

My tips to win:

This weeks defending champion is Adam Scott 12/1 with Ladbrokes who played his first PGA Tour event of the year at the Riviera Country Club last week and just missed out on a Top 10 finish. After knocking the rust off last week he will want to put in a good defence of his title this week.

I am sticking with a couple of players this week and the first one is Sergio Garcia 18/1 with Bet365 who slightly went off the boil in the last couple of rounds at the Genesis Open last week. I feel all the delays affected him slightly and after grabbing a win in his first tournament of the year on the European Tour I think we will see Sergio back in the thick of it this week, especially on a course where he had a runner-up finish last year.

It was a strange start to 2017 for Daniel Berger 35/1 with Bet365 who started the wraparound season in great form making the Top 15 in three of his four starts one of which was his runner-up finish at the WGC HSBC Champions event. But he seemed to get back on track at the Phoenix Open a couple of weeks ago with a Top 10 finish add that to his runner-up finish here two years ago and I think he will be challenging again this week.

My each-way tips:

The other player I am going to stick to this week is Thomas Pieters 40/1 with Coral who finished in style last week holing his birdie putt on the eighteenth green to move into the runner-up spot at the Genesis Open. Thomas will be in buoyant mood this week and I think he will be in one of the final pairings come Sunday afternoon.

Keegan Bradley 66/1 with BoyleSport seems to be on his way back into form, after his Top 5 finish at the Farmers Insurance Open, he missed the cut in Phoenix but I feel that could be just a blip and a solid tournament at the Riviera Country Club last week should see him in a positive frame of mind this week. Keegan has several Top 15 finishes here and a Top 5 and if he can get off to a good start he could do well here this week.

Outside tips:

There are some great outside bets this week Ollie Schniederjans 70/1 and Luke Donald 70/1 both with BetFred Ollie is in great form after a shaky start to the wraparound season and Luke looks like he is coming back into form and this is a course where he has had several Top 10 finishes. Then there is Padraig Harrington 150/1 and Camilo Villegas 150/1 both with StanJames both are past champions here and seem to play well over the PGA National Champion course even when they are not in form

As always good luck
